The journey so far,...

Built on the back end of life adversities,

Snappy Sups became a purpose before a business,… I had zero prior business experience and no business plan,… but a gut full of intuition and skills.

Snappy Sups has become recognised as a leader in the way the SUP industry is changing, Collaborating with RNLI, The NHS, Paddle UK, The Emergency Service’s, Military wellness charity's and more to come.

Our unique approach is simply being able to adapt and connect quickly, in what has increasingly become a dis-connected and fast changing modern world.

I’d just lost my job and had become as a single full-time dad.

I took that job as the most important job I had ever had.

During that time I’d started saving foreign currency for a future time I dreamt of, traveling the world doing surf photography with my water housing,… my thinking was  that if I saved money by buying foreign currency I wouldn’t be able to spend it, and I wouldn't have any excuses's about not being able to afford it when the time came.

I’d built a few thousand over time,… but in 2020, the world seemed like it stopped spinning and travel was looking like an unlikely option again.

So I cashed in my foreign currency and focused on creating a business out of something I enjoy.

Paddle-boarding at the time had experienced a steep rise in popularity, I couldn’t find any boards as the good ones had sold out and were awaiting arrival of new ones.

So I decided to source my own, and with due diligence and a some good fortune I found the manufacturer of some of the worlds leading brands. From that point on, built a strong relationship with my friend Jack based the other side of the world, who owns a SUP factory.

So I bought 18 boards, and accessories, along with all the kit I’d need for a pop up business SUP businesses, establish licences, permits etc I'd been given the all clear from the authorities,… but then I had a lack of confidence,… I’d realised I’d ran out of equipment to buy, and excuses not to start.

Anyone that’s on their true path, will experience this period of self doubt, and mine was heavy,… but I did it,... I finally started my business and purpose

However, things rarely go as we imagine , I’d set up all this equipment on site but had no customers,… for 2 weeks.

Then,  2 people approached me to hire boards,… I said I can only hire to you after they do a lesson. They didn’t want a lesson, so they walked away.

I was left wondering how on earth is this going to make money, if I turn customers away, but it was the single best decision I made as I’d prioritised safety over profits, which is how we connected with the likes of RNLI and Paddle UK.

I'd stayed true to the cause of safety, comfort and enjoyment.

From our first session in 2022 which was family of 4, which felt like a big group at the time to our biggest single group booking of 120 2 years later.

We've grown organically with very little advertising.

Fast forward over the 3 years and we’ve;

Created our own brand of boards called Resilient Revolution that comes with a community.

Opened a shop.

Closed a shop.

Opened a toastie shack

Worked with multiple education providers

And our current projects involve collaborating

With the RNLI
